Building Inspections: July 1, 2006 began Building Inspection processes in Wayne County unincorporated areas. Fees are set by the Wayne County Commissioners. Currently permits are required on new houses, business, and mobile homes - new and used being set-up. At the present time, permits are not required for additions or remodeling. (If you are located inside city limits, see their ordinances for requirements)

Building Permits: Building permits are required in unincorporated areas of Wayne County. If your project is located inside city limits see that city's ordinances for applicable codes.

Download Building Permit form and fees, fill it out and bring it in to Wayne County Tax Assessors office. Walnut Street @ Pine. Before you come in to get your permit, make sure you have the following:

2. Septic Tank Permit
3. Blueprints
